Medicine is a science of uncertainty and an art of probability. To diagnose the probability good minded personalities conduct Free Medical Camp. Likewise the DMK Medical Wing, East Kanyakumari District conducted a Free Medical camp on 30.06.2019, Sunday during 11 am to 2 pm at POVVER Ayya Vaikundar Old Age Home, Swaminathapuram. This medical camp was organized in our Old Age Home on the occasion of celebrating 96th Birthday of Dr. Karunanithi, Ex. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
The Medical Camp was headed by Mr. Thamarai Bharathi, Agasteeswaram Union Secretary in presence of Mr. N. Ramachandran, Director, POVVER Trust.
Dr. Valluvan, Secretary, Kanyakumari District Medical Wing, DMK, the chief Doctor of the medical camp initiated the camp. Followed by him, Dr. Anand, Dr. Renjith Singh, Dr. Sujin and Dr. Siva Rama Perumal continued the camp. Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure and other diagnosis were done for all the Old Age Home inmates. The Doctors were assisted by Miss. D. Nishanthini, Mrs. V. Gandhimathi and Miss.C.Geetha, staff members of POVVER Ayya Vaikundar Old Age Home. Required medicines were given to the inmates as prescribed by the Doctors. The expenses for medicine and the lunch of the day were borne by the DMK Medical wing.
Mr. Bernard, Ex. M.L.A, Mr. Muthuswamy, District Joint Secretary, Mr. Mahesh, Secretary Nagercoil Town, DMK, Mr. Kumari Stephan, Secretary Kanyakumari Town Panchayat all the above and many other members of the party attended the camp. The camp was concluded by providing lunch for the inmates in which Mrs. Helan Davidson, Ex. M.P. served food for the inmates.
The venue and arrangements were made by the POVVER Ayya Vaikundar Old Age Home staff members. The Executive Director Mr. R.N. Jayan Keasav Vennih coordinated and welcomed the program participants. The inmates were very happy for getting a free medical checkup and medicine from expert doctors and they thanked everyone heartfully. POVVER Trust and all its members are also thankful to the DMK Medical Wing for conducting the Medical Camp in our Old Age Home.
